I have been slacking a bit on my comic. Since my last comic I have come up with a ton of ideas but when I sat down to draw them I hated the idea by the end. Then the idea got scrapped. This comic came about due to my wife’s obsession with Calamari. She loves the stuff. If you live in Philly Solaris has a good calamari appetizer. I suggest you try it out. Just ask them to replace the sauce with the soy drizzle from their spring rolls. Yum! Now I’m hungry.

Comic #79 Real World III

Does anyone else remember the good old days of being a kid and watching PSA’s at the end of cartoons while waiting for the next adventure to start? Yeah, most of them might have been a bit cheesy but they do get the point across. Do children shows even have PSA’s anymore? Who knows if I would be here today if G.I. Joe didn’t warn me not to play in abandoned refrigerators? Enjoy!

I have been suffering from writers block for awhile now. It has been driving me nuts and, that's usually Bunny's job. So I sat down today to just draw one panel in an attempt to get my brain going. And this is where I ended up. I can't wait to see what happens next.

It is no secret that my wife loves frogs. A coworker and I were teasing her about a flyer she saw about helping frogs cross the street during mating season so they don’t get squished. I told her Bunny could never do that because she would want to take them all home. Then I had pictures of the apartment full of frogs squeaking and eeping all over the place.

Sorry for the delay on this one. It’s been done for about 2 weeks but I have had a hectic time at work and no time to upload it. Speaking of work we got some new computers and they are locked down tighter then…. Well input your own dirty metaphor here. At least they are fast and I won’t need to deal with 512k of ram anymore. But enough about work, it’s Friday and you came here for a comic.

I came across this article in the Merto newspaper this week and I thought it would make a great comic topic. It was either this or prostitutes providing discounts because of the economy. I am breaking this comic up into a three parter. This is part one.

We interrupt your normally scheduled storyline to shed some light on an issue occurring now in Philly. The Mayor is set to close 11 libraries tomorrow with no plans to reopen them. Out cry from the masses has fallen on deaf ears so we are all SOL. I grew up visiting the Holmesburg library constantly and I don't know if I would be here today without it. I took part in the summer reading programs and loved having access to so many books for free. I fear for our city's future.

I am back from Zenkaikon which was Friday and Saturday. I had a table in the artist ally and also was taking part in a webcomic panel. Todays comic based on the convention and is true to life. I really had someone show me subpar fanart. I was so happy. If you are the artist who did the fanart at the convention please send me an email and I can put it up here. I'd like to share it with everyone. I got asked to do a second panel in November but it's the same day as Philcon so I can't. But if asked, I will go back and do this again next year.

Just a reminder I will be appearing at Zenkaikon this coming weekend. And on that note I got some wonderful news. My next wisdom tooth is coming in. Very soon I am going to be in a world of pain. I already know how it will end and just need to draw it up. I have to say this was the easiest little story I have done and one of the most enjoyable. My fans (the few there are) seem to really dig it too. I may keep this in mind the next major election.

Well it is time for the bad campaign ads. I have only seen Obama's. I'd would rather watch the Wendy's commercial again where the guy is a meatetarian. You know, he only eats meat. The ad completely forgets that a burger has a bun. Unless the new Wendy's bacon burger has an all beef bun. Now that would be a yummy 2.99 heart attack.

Yea, I know. I promised an update last week but it didn't happen. I just got a new computer and I have been trying to get it setup so I could do my updates from it. And I finally can. Photoshop runs so much nicer on it. And vista looks nice. It may not be the most state-of-the-art but it is worlds ahead of my old Compaq PIII 666 MHz. So, are any of you as tired as I am of being Rickrolled. It may have been funny at first but around the 13,776,195th time (Current count on Youtube) it gets old. Seriously seriously old. And the internet is serious business. Let's move on.

As you all must know by now Gary Gygax passed away yesterday at the age of 69. I was really surprised and didn’t believe the news. One of my favorite past times is playing D&D and some of my happiest memories are of being around a map with a hand painted fig marking my position. I know it sounds a little sad but I enjoyed myself. While I have been unable to play D and D recently it is still dear to my heart. And I play D and D hack & slash games with Morgan whenever I can. And I was not kidding about the socks thing. Dice of a staple of the game and I will be dammed if I was going to re-roll the same dice over and over to cast Meteor Swarm.

If you could not figure it out by today’s comic, I am getting married. I am marring my girlfriend of almost a year now, Morgan Crone. She is a dark fantasy artist and resident perky Goth in my life. I couldn’t imagine a life without her so this just seems right. If you are not invited to the wedding don’t feel bad. It is just going to be a small intimate event with little fanfare. Please wish us the best of luck and thank you for your support.

My writers’ block continues so I thought I do some quick gag comics. I do love to do these. My birthday is coming up next month and I will reach the ripe old age of 26. I know I am not old but damn it I feel it sometimes. And I am not talking about when I still walk through Kay-Bee Toy stores.
Your friend and mine, Paris Hilton, is reported by World Entertainment News Network to be speaking out about elephants getting drunk on farmers homemade rice beer and whine before going on rampages. Lori Berk, a publicist for Hilton, said she never made any comments about helping drunken elephants but where is the fun in that. So lets just assume she said what we all know that genius really said. Last month, six wild elephants broke into a farm in the state of Meghalaya and were electrocuted after drinking the beer and then uprooting a power pole. You just can’t make good stuff like this up.

Hello All! I got a new comic up today. I am trying to get stuff ready to go to Philcon 2007. It has been a busy past few weeks so I thank you for sticking with me. As you probably know the writers are on strike. This means most of the TV shows we enjoy will be going into reruns for a bit. So you have your choices. Either you can watch that episode of House for the umpteenth time or you can try some other activities. I have been reading some H.P. Lovecraft and watching old Vincent Price movies. I watched Dr. Phibes Rises Again and loled. It’s so freaking funny and a must watch.

On a more personal note, I have been having problems of a mental nature and its put me in a state where it’s been hard to get back to creating comics.

I just finished this one up last night. I spent three times as long drawing this comic as I do drawing the others, so I hope it was worth the effort and everyone enjoys it as much as I do. I will be adding her to the characters page of the site later when I have the time.

Comic #37 Filler #5 I pay for this?

It looks like this week will be a filler week. I was supposed to draw a comic yesterday but ended up doing the rough drawings for a new character. I will post the drawings when I clean them up a bit and get some more input.

I am on a roll. 2 weeks in a row without filler. If I keep this up I may go back to calling myself a webcomic creator. Today I will be at the Pottstown PA mini-anime convention. Check out the Delaware Anime Society website for more information. If you see me there please say hi.

I am sorry, I know you guys are going to kill me but I have been unable to get to drawing a new comic. Hopefully soon I can find the time. This comic is one I did for 1&1 while I was still working there. This is an oldie but a goodie. My first comic. I hope you do enjoy it.

Comic #32 Speed Limit Enfored by Aircraft

You guys won't believe it but I finally found some time to throw a comic together. To be truthful, I drew it a bit ago and I misplaced the images. Thank you Jimmy for finding it. I also have some snapshots of my Pursey Plushie Prototypes. They still need some improvements but I am happy with my progress thus far. Drop me an email and tell me what you think of them. Back to this weeks comic. "Speed Limit Enforced by Aircraft" This is a sign I have seen many times on the road and it pisses me off each time. Is the aircraft going to pull me over? Is it going to land and the pilot going to write me a ticket? No he isn't! So its not really enforced by aircraft is it?

Again I must apologize but this is another week of filler but, I do have a special treat for everyone. This week's filler is a bit of original artwork by Morgan Crone. The main focus of her work is Dark Fantasy, Science Fiction and most of all, her unique creatures. Kitty here is sporting the latest in Pursey merchandise which will be available in the gift shop at a later date. If you have not seen her work before, take a gander. Speaking of Pursey merchandise, I have finished the first Purey prototype plushie this week. (Say that three times fast) I will try to get pictures of it online ASAP.

Sorry guys but this week is a filler week. I couldn't get this weeks comic done so I am going to have to go with one I had done but doesn't fit the current storyline. Hopefully this weekend I can get the next two weekend worth of comics done so that this does not happen again for awhile.

I finally found time to draw a new comic and this is the one I present to you today. I usually draw these comics in Photoshop CS2 but this current ones was done in Photoshop Elements. Using Photoshop Elements is like trying to draw with a dull pencil when bloody drunk. But that's just my opinion. If any of my readers has the time I would enjoy some feedback. Please click the Contact Me button above to tell me what you think of the comic thus far.

Sorry for the late update. The training has been making me a little absent minded and I swore that I had made one on Wednesday. Because my new job is with the city, I will not receive internet access at work until after my first paycheck. They use your employee number and such as your username. I can hardly wait. For those who enjoy spoilers continue reading. I have created a new character and I will hopefully be introducing him into the plot soon. Keep you eyes peeled for him. Again, thank you all for being patient and enjoy the new comic.

Very soon I will start my new job and I am looking forward to it. I will miss many people at 1&1 Internet but I must move on. I started the long process of building my own PC. Step 1 I believe is the hardest, research. Researching each of the components and reading the reviews to ensure myself that I do not get ripped off. As of now the system is running me $1500 which I feel is too much so I have to slim it down now. Hopefully in the near future with this new job I can afford this new system and this comic will not be drawn on a Subpar PC. I hope you all enjoy the new comic.

Today Pursey will be departing on his trip. Too bad he never specified where he wanted to go. I wanted to refer to the penguins as M&M's in this strip, but god forbid I infringe on any trademarks. I am going to start work on Subpar T-Shirt designs to place up on the site.

Happy Yule. For those of you who do not know, Yule is the winter solstice celebration. In today's comic Pursey makes reference to Wassail. I have supplied a link to the definition of Wassail on the site so their is no confusion. If anyone remembers "A Claymation Christmas Celebration" (1987) they will know just what it means to go Wassailing. I have one more comic to release before Christmas. Keep checking back. Enjoy.
